{10,000 Views Special Pt.2} Hallett's Hits 5/12/25 + Mother's Day playlist + big announcements + weird personal story about Sports Car by Tate McRae

Hi! (SORRY FOR THE ERROR EARLIER LOL...) So, this is one of my more "chaotic" posts, but I had to do something interesting with Hallett's Hits to include it in the 10,000 views special.

First up, announcements. Almost There has been lengthened to 17 songs as of this week, and next week I will be lengthening the countdown to 30 songs! I did this partially to commemorate 10,000 views, but also because I still felt like I was limiting myself too much, and changing Almost There from ten to thirteen songs before wasn't nearly enough to fix that problem. On top of that, I will FINALLY be updating my personal chart stats page later today which I haven't done in nearly a month. Also, I decided to move the recurrent songs. Since it's such a giant list of songs that doesn't change that much from week to week, I'll no longer be copying that giant list onto every weekly post and leaving it up to you to sift through the alphabetical list and find whatever additions I made. I'll instead put the recurrent songs into a separate page under my Hallett's Hits tab in the menu at the top of the blog.

Anyway, now onto this week's... actually quite uneventful Hallett's Hits, since I was busy the previous two weeks and didn't listen to music on my own quite as much. One thing I will say for this week is that I have absolutely no clue how I came across what is now this week's Underground Extra. Avreya Bloom just kinda came up in my YouTube recommendations, and she's possibly the most obscure artist I've naturally found. She has 11 songs, a few of which are completely unviewed (for now, before I go and listen to all of them), and her most "popular" song has 65 views as of now. How did she come up? I don't know. Is she great and should she have more attention? Yep. Am I discovering her before she becomes a huge star? Probably. If you're reading this, you should go check her out. Let's get into this week's new hits.

And finally... story time!

Alright, now I don't usually like to tell personal stories on my blog since I like remaining relatively anonymous, but this is a very non-revealing story about Sports Car by Tate McRae. For a few weeks, I had been hearing it literally every time I was in the car (which makes sense considering it gets nearly 100 spins a week on Hits 1). One time, I was very close to not hearing it, but it played just a few minutes before I was about to get out of the car. That same night, I wanted to turn on the SiriusXM app to listen to Hits 1, but the internet was down. It came on after a while, and guess what played? Sports Car. And then the internet went back down right at the end of the song... so yeah, the internet literally only came on for Sports Car. I joked that it was like Hits 1 was playing a prank on me. And it gets weirder. Since then, I still have yet to hear Sports Car again on Hits 1 outside of the countdown, even though it hasn't faded in airplay yet, but I have gotten a different Tate McRae song every time (first You Broke Me First, then Revolving Door, then Greedy). I think it's safe to say Sports Car would be my orange song if I was still reviewing the Hits 1 countdown, or maybe a light orange song behind Party 4 U. Well, that's it for my first personal story ever on this blog. I don't know if any of you actually find that story funny, but I think it's pretty weird. And that's just about the most insight you'll ever get into my chaotic personal life.

That's all for now! Byeeeeeeeeee!
